Description
This is the most famous novel ever produced about Apartheid South Africa. "Cry, the Beloved Country" is the moving story of two families in South Africa one black and one white who are brought into violent contact. From a remote valley in Natal, the Zula Reverend Stephen Kumalo sets off for the city of Johannesburg in search of his younger sister and his son, Absalom. Kumalo finds his son in jail for the murder of a white man, who had done much to help the Africans.
