Description
Utilizing a mathematical level that requires only a brief introduction to the calculus, it provides a clear exposition of relativity in mechanics and electrodynamics without using matrices or tensors. Many confusing points are clarified: the effects of moving electric and magnetic fields, induced emf, the Faraday disk, the unipolar generator, the homopolar generator, the equivalence principle, the gravitational deflection of light, and others. Most important are the sharp insights into one of the great intellectual achievements of the century.
